Well I now have everything prepped ready to go back on the car. New wheel bearings on the half shafts, rebuilt back brakes, new back springs (gulp) as old ones were shot. At the front it didn’t have the straight steering arms (long gone) so fresh ones obtained and at a mates for some much needed shims. I acquired some decent strut inserts as well for the front and when I take all the front to bits I shall see how good the Track rods ends etc are and if the steering box needs an overhaul. I have found an air filter as well as most of the stuff in the engine bay had gone apart from the wiring. Then again I found some new front coil springs at our summer show, they are not standard but the GT version with a reduced number of coils which I prefer. So onward and upward as the winter approaches and I bring it to my house to work on. (GT off road in a new garage for a rest).
