New Prime Minister

Well he has set off from the block with some nice cheap well costed (had to do that to ensure no one accuses him of not talking to anyone) actions. Less than a pound a week off our electricity and low bus fares which only work in cities and large towns but have no effect on places such as all my ward, most of Selby District as well to be honest unless you commute to York every day from Selby!

At least he has only done one U-Turn so far by day 3 (Personal allowance was to be looked at according to him when speaking to the Times, but apparently that’s off the list now).

Then we have our MP who did creep over to Makerfield when he saw which way the wind was blowing but he has apparently lost his ministerial position making him £25k poorer. For those on a state pension this means he has lost the equivalent of 2 state pensions!!! I have no idea how he will survive—perhaps there will be a Justgiving page or Gofundme to follow in the Selby Times next week.

Anyhow, Our new Prime Minister will no doubt have an idea of what the issues are in the country having door knocked for 4 weeks and perhaps we will now get a tram in Selby? Who knows
