National show weekend for Mk1 Cortinas

It’s the time of year I enjoy the most with the gathering of the ‘clan’ at Stratford Upon Avon Racecourse. The show sort of starts Friday evening for most with people turning up and catching up with friends they literally might not have seen for a whole year. Saturday marks the start of the serious stuff with members looking for bargains and actual car parts to keep their cortina going. We also have lots of other Fords attending. Then as we move towards the evening we have a free hog roast and our AGM were you can pester the comitee about anything cortina related.

We then move on to quiz night, raffle, irish bingo, and dancing to the DJ sounds. Yours truly is doing the quiz this year so be prepared for errors.

Sunday is time to get out the polish and wax and put the car on show. Tim who did our virtual rally judging during the Covid crap is in attendance with family all weekend so will have an idea of what we are about!!

VOLUNTEERS

We couldn’t do it without volunteers so please step up to the plate over the weeked to just help the show run smoothly. There are lots of roles, gate duty, litter picking, parking folk up on the sunday, actually assembling it all on Friday—just approach one of the committee who will be on site from Thursday evening.

Regards
