The precept for the council has been agreed at 4.99%. 2% for social care and the rest for normal operations. As the conservatives are the largest group there was really no room for maneuver plus the labour group were obviously not opposed to it. There was a bit of ammending going on, 2 of the 3 failed and we did eventually vote. 9 named votes took place which added to the time involved but we then broke for lunch to come back and deal with School Admissions and committee places with the change in the make up of the council. The conservatives have lost 13 places on committees but still remain the largest group—for now!!! Elections are next year for those fed up!!
