PPC for Wetherby and Easingwold

Press Release for the ReformUK PPC for Wetherby and Easingwold.

22/02/2024

Mike Jordan has been a North Yorkshire Councillor for 15 years and is now a member of Reform Party. Formerly a member of both Conservative and the Yorkshire party he recently became disillusioned with both but found like-minded colleagues in Reform UK. Following a rigorous vetting process he was accepted as an Approved Candidate and is delighted to be chosen to contest Wetherby and Easingwold in the forthcoming general election.

Mike is very well known in North Yorkshire and lives in Sherburn on Elmet which is less than a mile from the new constituency border. He is Yorkshire born and bred so is over the moon with the prospect of representing Wetherby in Westminster.

Very much down to earth, he’s a retired industrial chemist, now active in many scenarios such as Motorcycle Action Group, classic car renovation (also a director of an international car club). As a real-ale campaigner he supports numerous local hostelries, so if you spot him in a pub it would be an ideal opportunity to make your opinions on current politics known!

Finally, there are elections in May for the Mayor of North Yorkshire and York and Mike is backing the independent Keith Tordoff MBE. We need someone independent from current Westminster tribes!
