Loads of free energy we were told and Labour said they would be slashing energy bills by £300 a year. So today we are told they are pushing up the price cap again despite it going down on the wholesale global market and despite being told we are subject to global prices!!! And further more we will be paying energy companies of wind farms not to actually supply energy but to switch off. We have gas and oil, we have the means to get it, but no, we must rely on Nuclear (Hinkley Point will come on stream someday!) and wind—unless we switch it off
The national operator stated that it cost£2.7billion including £1.7billion in constraint costs last financial year including having to turn windfarms off.
