Early last week Ford Motor Company pulled the ‘plug’ on most of its DEI policies after a fresh look at them. The internal email went out to all employees informng them it will no longer take part in an annual survey from a LGBTQ advocacy group. As well as stopping quotas for minority dealerships and suppliers they will be making changes to corporate sponsorships.
‘The company is mindful that our employees and customers hold a wide range of beliefs.’
It is brave enough to challenge the current orthodoxy. The simple fact is that the DEI fashion is a nonsense which is ending up dividing them by identities or characteristics—or whatever other difference the DEI people come up with!!! It simply doesn’t tack up economically socially or culturally.
Stay neutral and stay away from ideological issues.
They are not alone. Harley Davidson a motorcycle maufacturer have done this, John Deere makers of tractors, Jack Daniels the Whisky maker have also done this.
And share prices for these companies have barely budged confirming this rush for DEI was a waste of time and a fad. Running such policies was actually impractical since they didn’t add up and it is to be hoped others follow suit asap.
