Some interesting facts for you that have emerged from a liason meeting last night at Selby Town Hall
- They look after 5,753 miles of roads
- They look after 10,000 miles of footpath
- 97.5% of councils have less than 200 towns and parishes to serve
- North Yorkshire has 664 inc Harrogate and Scarborough to be arranged
- The next nearest council has 300
- The new teams for each part of the council area are now complete and importantly we are in the South Team for planning
- The area will be kept as the old Selby and Ainsty area for now
All parish and town councils have a new method of contacting North Yorkshire through a dedicated email address which they promise to respond to within 24 hours excluding weekends
